Myanmar's leaders sell offshore gas, hydroelectricity, timber, and minerals to China, Thailand, and South Korea, among other countries. Much of the revenue goes to big infrastructure projects, and the people languish. To quash ethnic resistance, especially in resource-rich areas, the army has displaced thousands of villages.
