Voicemail From Camp 3
Ang Kaji Sherpa
The team is currently at Camp 3 below a series of looming, ten-story-high seracs, or ice columns. They depart for Camp 4 Thursday morning at 6 a.m.

“Anyway, we are recovering from the trudge up to our 23,000-foot shelf. Many teams—most teams—start using oxygen at this elevation. Whether we will or not will depend on how we feel during the long night.

“Assuming we aren’t killed in our sleep, we leave for Camp 4 on the South Col tomorrow morning at 6 a.m.

“Mark Jenkins, goodbye.”
