Raw skin and swollen joints begin to lose their sting as a likely survivor of the Navy SEAL Hell Week awaits a medical inspection on the final day. Usually about half the men quit before the week ends. “Our purpose isn’t to punish or cause pain,” says an instructor. “We want these guys to understand what it takes to be part of a team and pull their weight.”
