Mottled sand camouflages the head of a hunter.
Pringueys adder ambushes its food: usually geckos and other lizards.
To get water, it drinks the droplets of ocean-generated fog that collect
on its skin in the cool early morning.

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT OR COMMENTS:
A tracker had captured the snake for me, and I was doing a series of photographs of its eyes.
We took the snake back to within 100 feet (30 meters) of where it had been captured. It took off, sidewiding
across the dune, found the very spot where it had been captured, and
undulated its way into the sand until only its eyes were visible.
