Why do people come to Quartzsite, Arizona? “Sure beats shoveling snow.” So say these members of the Family Motor Coach Association, who wound up shoveling rocks and gravel instead—part of a course on how to dig for gold. Bud Neale, who ran the Pro-Mack South mining-supply shop, charged ten dollars a person for the three-hour course.
