Silence in the Cabins
Photograph by David Doubilet

The mini-ROV traverses the cabin of the Arizona’s flag secretary, the admiral’s assistant. The white object is a sink and to the right is a desk. Both are slowly being buried by silt, which filters into the hull and along with marine growth gradually obliterates the physical remains of the ship’s interior.
