Face Mussels

A diver’s light on an Atlantic Ocean underwater cliff face reveals hangers-on like mussels, sponges, and purple soft corals. It’s a typical scene on South Africa’s west coast, where the cold, nutrient-rich soup of the Benguela upwelling spawns life in abundance.
