A Shore in Retreat

That’s the lower half of Tom French of Suamico, Wisconsin, coming down the ladder at the end of his family’s dock near Lake Michigan’s Green Bay. When the Frenches moved here about ten years ago, the lake was up that ladder as high as Tom’s lower foot. Now, to soak his socks, Tom would have to hike out more than a hundred yards. |
