Boys Being Boys

Warm fall days bring out the boys in Boys Town, Nebraska, where touch football is both good exercise and a tension release. Kids with tough pasts come here to try their youths again—to live in comfortable group homes with new "families," a host of new rules, and a bit of therapy on the side. (An average stay is 18 months.) "Especially for those from urban or unsafe neighborhoods, this is an idyllic setting," says photographer Landon Nordeman. |
