Bygone Bullets Photograph courtesy AÏNA
AÏNA's new office building used to be an interrogation center under the Taliban regime, and was devastated by fighting and fire blasts. During the renovation, AÏNA workers decided to preserve a patch of bullet holes as a reminder of how much things have changed. Here, Osman Akram, the editor in chief of Zanbel-e-Gham, and Laura Beldiman, AÏNA's coordinator for Malalai and Seerat, poke fun at the bullet holes. |
