An Afghan shopkeeper shows his people's trademark resilience by setting up shop at the base of a crumbling building. International aid agencies warn that many structures in Kabul's war-damaged areas are on the verge of collapse and need to be razed and rebuilt. Many parts of the city are also believed to be heavily mined or littered with unexploded ordnance, making reconstruction a slow and treacherous task.
