Coming upon the Spud Drive-In theater was great. It's an amazingly old theater. The screen is tattered, and you can see the lines through the screen. But one family still keeps it open and operates it. It's the kind of thing that doesn't exist in the U.S. anymore.	Going up in a glider for the first time was awful. For most people it might be fun. But I felt as if I was going to get sick all the time. The elevation is already very high in Driggs, so we must have flown up to about 11,000 feet (3,400 meters). It was a warm summer day, and the glider felt like a reflective heat chamber. Later the pilot wanted to take me on this daredevil trip to see the Tetons. She thought it would be fun. But I had to say no. I felt kind of wimpy about it, but I didn't enjoy the glider at all. The machine is really cool, and the takeoff, which bothers most people, was fine. Helicopters I love. Planes I have no problem with. But I couldn't wait to get down.	Until you clean them, potatoes look like rocks. It was hard for me to see the difference even as they passed through the sorter. I didn't want to get a lot of good pictures of a pile of rocks, so I had to work hard to be sure I was photographing potatoes.
