Kicking off another season of the Oak Bluffs Polar Bears, folks gathering at the beach for morning exercise and chitchat take a break for breakfast. The potlucks draw the biggest crowds all week. "Everyone brings whatever they want, from blueberry pancakes to chili," says longtime Polar Bear Gloria Manning, center. "I was serious about filling my plate that day. Clearly I had no idea anyone was taking pictures!"
