Singing in the Rain
Photograph by William Albert Allard
A torrential downpour fails to dampen reveling spirits at Les Fous d'en Face wine bar. After concluding a ludicrous contest in which competing pieces of Camembert cheese melt down a heated metal sheet, participants sing in chorus to celebrate. Due to modest interior spaceand the requisite cheese-melting blowtorchthese regulars held the tournament under the leaky awning in front of the bar, whose name translates suitably as "The Lunatics Across the Street."
