Neon lights on Fargo's Broadway signal the dawn of the town's nightlife. Coffee bars and trendy restaurants are popping up all around the Fargo Theater, at left, which "anchors" the action downtown, says Margie Bailly, head of the movie house. In March 2004 the theater will hold its fourth annual film festival, an increasingly hot, sought-after venue for independent filmmakers.
