Ladies in Waiting
Photograph by Pablo Corral Vega

Like girls at a high school dance, ladies at a milonga—a tango session—at the club Lo de Celia in Buenos Aires stick together, chatting and waiting for an invitation to dance (men do most of the asking, even these days). Milongas are daily and nightly events in Argentina's capital city—where tango is not just a way of life but part of the national identity.
