A Sharp Taste
Photograph by Amy Toensing
Tattooed head-to-toe with a puzzle-piece pattern, a performer called the Enigma confounds audiences at the Bros. Grim sideshow by swallowing swords, sticking nails up his nose, and exhibiting the Teflon-implant horns that sprout from the top of his head. Sometimes spectators get a little freaked out by the act. "We had a lot of people fainting during the show," says impresario Ken Harck. "But a lot of times, the very people who fainted would come back the next daywith ten of their friends. My theory is if you want people to look at something, give them something they can't look at."
