Anytime Is Teatime
Photograph by Bob Sacha

A cup of tea costs about 15 cents at the Sharma Tea House in Kolkata (Calcutta), India, where the pots start to steam around five in the morning and the water doesn't stop boiling until nine at night. The world's tea leader, India produces around two billion pounds (900 million kilograms) of tea each year—and India's own consumers drink three-fourths of it.
