Fragments of bone from three people cover the bottom of one of the tomb's two sarcophagi. Pottery jugs and bowls once held offerings of food and drink. Pfälzner believes the condition of the remains—broken and strewn about, with the skulls and many other bones missing—attests to their use in rituals to summon and feed royal ancestors.
