Photographer Adriel Heisey spent hours circling Utah's Factory Butte in his ultra-light, recording the enormous mesa's moods as clouds and sun battled for control of the sky. "I felt like I was in a vast theater and I was trying to react to the operations of a demented lighting master," he says. "The spaces that I'm dealing with are quite large, and even though I'm flying, I can't just dart around. I have to go into this slow waltz."
