Stinging cells on the green tentacles of a mushroom coral (Fungi scutaria) capture tiny creatures as well as absorb nutrients suspended in the water and transfer the food to a luscious pink mouth. The saucer-shaped coral, found on Maro Reef, can grow to seven inches (18 centimeters) across.
