The Spitzer Space Telescope's infrared vision pierced the dust that cloaks our galaxy to reveal hidden stars. This mosaic of high-resolution images, covering a small section of the inner Milky Way, is part of a survey that will yield a 120-foot-long (37-meter-long) panorama mapping the galaxy's star-forming regions and spiral arms.
