Ancient waterworks run through Rome's urban center, including the Aqua Virgo, the only aqueduct in Rome still in use after 20 centuries. Says Marco Placidi, an urban speleologist who inspects new finds and underground sites: "Most of underground Rome remains unexplored, waiting to be discovered."
