Hunt for Protein

A monkey killed by hunters in southern Senegal will be sold for food as part of an African trade in bush meat that includes other primates, antelopes, and hippopotamuses. Based on research in Ghana, Justin Brashares of the University of California, Berkeley, believes the protein deficit caused by overfishing has helped fuel the demand for bush meat in Africa.
