Downy Softness
Maria Stenzels shotslike this one of an emperor penguin chicon Cape Crozier in Antarctica were part of an assignment that gave travel new meaning. You cant buy a ticket to fly from one side of Antarctica to the other, says Stenzel, who stayed there for three months. So I flew home to Washington, D.C., for a week, washed my clothes, then flew back to South America to take a boat to the Antarctic Peninsula.
