An adult female grizzly stares out from inside a trap. Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife, and Parks workers caught her with two of her cubs after she broke into a country store and an outdoor meat freezer. She was a repeat offender: This was the fifth time in four years authorities had been called in to capture her. Grizzlies who develop a taste for food found near humans usually end up shot, euthanized, shipped to zoosor sent to a research lab. In this case the lab the bear is headed for studies the nutritional needs of brown bears.
