Leading the cubs on an inspection of their new home, Kilham crawls inside a den he built in his cub enclosure to show Houdini and Yoda that it is safe. The pen has a trap door that allows the cubs to explore their surroundings during the day, yet return to the safety of the den at night. The enclosure soon became the meeting place where Kilham greeted the cubs for their daily lessons.
