A Pharaoh to Remember
Riding into battle with his pet lion often by his side, Ramses II slew enemies by the score and won great battles almost single-handedly—or at least thats the story he wanted to leave behind. The truth was certainly more modest, but a modest man does not stud the landscape with dozens of colossal statues of himself like this one at the main temple entrance at Luxor.
