Extreme Biking
One of the riders dubbed it hell biking, a 775-mile (1,247-kilometer) two-wheeled attack on the slushy glaciers, high passes, and rocky creek beds of the Alaska Range, with no more than 20 pounds (nine kilograms) of food and gear each. They slept in their clothes and ate with their bike tools, shivered through the nights and rode hard on rumbling stomachs. We didnt come to camp in comfort, reported one of the four cyclists, in case that wasnt clear.
