Alaskan Mink

Popping up occasionally, this Mink (Neovision vison) caught my attention as I was salmon fishing near Cordova. He had been eating a dead salmon along the shore in the rocks. I had never seen a mink in the wild so I immediately put down my fishing pole and grabbed my camera. He was quite elusive but with lots of patience I managed to get a few good shots. This is one of those.

Location: Sheridan River Slough - near Cordova, Alaska - USA
