Even if they are still considered as nomads, more and more bedouins of Jordan move to houses. The members of this family occupy the tent only during the day for having lunch and stay away from heat and sand storms. At night, they prefer to sleep in the new house they recently built with volcanic rocks found in the desert. As Jordan is the first country in the world in term of water shortage, the bedouins often work at selling water to villages and shepherds during their migrations.
Location: Bedouin settlement, Syrian border, Northern Badia, Jordan
