Tibetan prayer flags line the hill above Namgyal Tsemo Gompa in Leh, Ladakh. Ladakh is a Tibetan Buddhist area high up in the Himalayas in northern India. The prayer flags are believed by Tibetans to bring good will to all sentient beings when the wind releases the prayers and mantras on the flags into the atmosphere.
