Its cold, bleak, snowy, icy, steep. I'm exhausted. But my energy slowly returns as I turn to look back down the hill I've just struggled up. I see how this monument frames the beautiful landscape and the scene takes my (remaining) breath away. I imagine the faith and dedication that the local people put into building this in such a remote place. I'm in awe.
