Unicef Millienium goals identified education for girls in Nepal as a priority (2005). The Government of Nepal's Ministry of Education reports that in 2011, 43% of girls attend primary school and slightly less (40.5%) are enrolled in higher secondary levels. When interviewed, the girls at Peak Academy in the village of Chunikhel, spoke of their dreams to do well in exams in order to study and work in careers including science, medicine and the arts.
