White Mountains fog

My family enjoys hiking the White Mountains, and we often camp below summits to enjoy sunrises and sunsets. On Mt. Hight we awoke to a dense fog that had rolled in overnight, eveloping valleys as far as the eye could see, and softly lapping the granite faces of the taller peaks around us. Mountains were cut to a third their height and the scale shift gave the illusion of the ocean lapping the California coastline.
