The Female Landscape

This was my second visit to Connemara National Park in Co Galway in the west of Ireland. I had photographed this valley before but I went back because it's a special place for me. It takes my breath away every time I see it. I feel at home here. I've sat for hours watching how the light changes how it looks. Curves you see one minute could be gone the next. Colours pop or sometimes sit back. The river can flow and not. Connemara is a soft landscape described to me by a local as a female landscape. When I look at this I know what he meant.
