Sally Lightfoot Crab
Category: Nature
Photo and caption by Stewart McLeish
I'm not sure how a crab got a name like Sally Lightfoot! A deep, gorgeous red color on his legs and an almost translucent shell makes this crab an attractive model for the photographer. There are thousands of them on the Galapagos Islands. It was almost difficult to find one on his ownsome. I'm guessing he didn't want to share his lunch!
Location: Galapagos Islands, Ecuador
