Ralph was born in this very house some 90 years ago. Lingering remnants of a woman’s touch, his mother’s, were scattered on the mantlepiece and windowsill - untouched since her passing many years ago. His grandfather George William Pearce came to the region from Port Augusta around 1900 and selected 100 acres and a local girl Charlotte. His own father carried on the farming tradition selecting further land to add to the family farm. But farm life was a struggle. Ralph, lives alone in the old family house, although he still has his sheep for company.
