Composition and Scale

Catching the typical gestures of stirring the Mocoro was the aim of this picture. I was lurking to the exact moment when the pole is two hands lifted above the water and reads, and above the poler's head, and then pushed back again further ahead, through the clear water into the muddy beds. Sitting just above water level the reads grow bigger and the six meter long pole controls the skyline. I like the willowy reflection offered by the natural growth of the reads to the diagonal position of the pole, and the silhouette' of the figures gently appears through the transparent fabric.
