Kleine Scheidegg

Touring around Interlaken, Switzerland, we found ourselves on a train to Lauterbrunnen, eventually ending up in Kleine Scheidegg. It’s one stop before Jungfraujoch, the highest point in Europe. As it was an extra 100 CHF each to continue to the top, and we were poor backpackers, we decided to take in the local beauty instead. Walking out of the train station, we were faced with the most amazing old home. Its outsides were deteriorating, it had green shutters and over-sized wooden doors. In the background, towering mountains cast shade on the tiny village of Grindewald, to which we hiked.
