On the Banks of Muddy Creek

Muddy Creek is a tributary of the Colorado River that descends southward from the Continental Divide, joining the Blue River at the Headwaters of the Colorado. Due to abundant rainfall in 2011, fall color in the Colorado Rocky Mountains was beyond spectacular. Even in early winter the excess moisture burnished dead wetland grasses golden and breathed fiery radiance into Red Willows painting the river valley with a surreal brush.

Location: Grand County, Colorado USA
