June 2011 Going east. Berlin infrastructure in the 21st century. I like traveling by train. It makes me feel free. I can move around during the journey and it´s far less stressfull than check-in, weigh-in, securitycontrol, bodysearch, boarding, windowfolds up, armrests down, "buy taxfree, buy taxfree, buy taxfree" ect. But looking out over the traintracks of the eastern parts of Berlin brings my mind to a certain time. A time when for some people traveling by train was not by choice or for the comfort of more legroom. I raise my glas to liberty.
