Extreme sports such as white water rafting can produce immediate emotional responses such as fear. Many of these people will later tell you that moment was the most enjoyable, thrilling experience of your life. This photo is titled 'The Face of Things to Come' as the rapid following this resulted in the gear raft flipping, losing the daily lunch, pump and 2 oars. For the rafters it was exhausting experience to recover the gear raft but later on around dinner and for the rest of the expedition all they could talk about was the experience which will remain in their memories for years to come.
