Omar is a camel tour guide and has worked at the pyramids since he was a small child. In 2010 I worked on a cruise ship as a photographer and we would spend days at the pyramids photographing the ships passengers at this iconic photo spot. Omar would stop his own work to help us with our photographs, encouraging the reticent cruise passengers to have their photos taken. He always looked after us if we had any issues and was incredibly hospitable. He was a great help and a great friend.
