There are not many reasons to stop the car when crossing Maniototo Plain unless mother nature decide to prepare sight which please one's eye. I had been stopping at this place many times after I took this photo but the sight has never got even close to what you can see on this picture. It was a great moment of warm evening soft light on the cold background of Ida Range covered by snow and low clouds.
