It was a typical visit to the Singapore Zoological Gardens and I was readily armed with the necessities, that is, my lenses and camera body. In captivity, the animals are in plain sight, easily visible and accessible to any attentive photographer. This juvenile Javan Langur, however, stood out from my collection of shots. Its expressions and behavior portrayed a mix of playfulness and innocence as it munched on, steeply immersed in its own activity even while visitors streamed past.
