A twisted Texas oak, a natural tinder pasture. I had to stop and capture this roadside scene as the sky purpled in front of a developing summer storm. I wanted to jump the fence and roll in the hot grass and enjoy such a rare event. The drought continues to be one of the worst in Texas history.
