January 2011 This woman is holding the newborn baby of her friend. The family is well respected on the island of Malapascua. Both mother and father are active within the Barangay, the administrative division of their village and district. They also run a family buisness that provides accommodation and tours for tourists. The name of the buisness is K4. The K stands for the capital letter in their 4 children´s names. I asked them how they solve the problem now that little Ken suddenly turned the 4 into a 5. They just smiled. Perhaps the bureaucratic apparat is a bit different over there?
