These elderly women are Tibetan refugees in India’s first Tibetan exile settlement, Lugsang Samdupling in Bylakuppe. Ever since the political dispute between China and Tibet in 1959, more than 150,000 Tibetans have been given refuge by the Indian government. This image was taken during a peace rally held to support their patriots, who are fighting the dispute back home.
