This is a picture of brothers Cody and Kadiem, at their home. Cody is in the process of tattooing himself with a traditional Maori tattoo or ta moko, that he designed. Kadiem is helping him by stretching the skin. Cody is self taught and spends many hours researching Maori art, carving and tattooing, while also using YouTube to learn about modern practices. Cody often tattoos himself for practice. He is wearing a t-shirt that bears the Maori Sovereignty / Tino Rangatiratanga flag.
